A. Admission Policy
NCS University System, Peshawar is an affiliated Institute of Khyber Medical University (KMU) which offers admissions in the Fall session of each year.
Eligibility Criteria
- DPT (5 years): F.Sc Pre-Medical/Equivalent with 60% marks + KMU-CAT
- BS Programs (4 years): F.Sc Pre-Medical/Equivalent with 50% marks + KMU-CAT
Documents Required
- Four passport size photographs
- SSC & HSSC Certificates and DMCs
- Domicile Certificate
- CNIC/Form-B
- KMU-CAT Result
Merit Formula
- F.Sc Marks – 50%
- KMU-CAT – 40%
- Interview – 10%
Migration Certificate must be submitted within one week. Registration with KMU is only after this.

C. Rules Regarding Payment of Fee
All dues are payable before semester start. Written permission required before due date if unable to pay. Late fee Rs.100 per day.
If dues not cleared within 14 days, name struck off. Re-admission possible with Rs.5000–10,000 + fine within 15 days. After that dropped from semester.
Students with unpaid dues cannot attend classes or exams.
D. Fee Refund Policy
According to HEC National Fee Refund Policy (2015):
- 100% refund – up to 7th day of classes
- 50% refund – 8th to 15th day of classes
- No refund – after 15th day
Admission fee non-refundable. Security refundable on degree issuance.
E. Student Code of Conduct & Disciplinary Policy
Code of Honour
Students must show faithfulness, honesty, loyalty, respect, discipline, and devotion to studies.
Prohibited Acts
- Smoking, drugs, strikes, unauthorized fundraising
- Indiscipline, damage to property
- Indecent behaviour, violence, harassment
Penalties
- Fine (Rs.500 – 100,000)
- Suspension
- Rustication (up to 1 year)
- Expulsion (up to 2 years)
F. Attendance & Struck Off Policy
Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory. Relaxation of 25% only in case of close family death or medical issues.
14 consecutive absences – name struck off. Re-admission possible with Rs.5000 (within 7 days) or Rs.10000 (within 15 days). After that dropped for session.
G. Library Rules
- Students may borrow 2 books for 2 weeks, faculty up to 3 books per semester.
- Overdue fine Rs.10/day.
- Lost/damaged books must be replaced or paid triple cost.
- Silence required, no eating/mobiles allowed.
H. Harassment Policy
The institute follows HEC Harassment Policy as approved by federal guidelines.
I. Policy on Drug & Tobacco Abuse
The institute strictly prohibits use of drugs and tobacco as per HEC policy.
J. Semester Freezing Rules
Semester freezing allowed only from 2nd semester onwards on valid grounds (illness, maternity, iddat etc.).
Only one freeze allowed. Dues must be cleared. Rejoin after one year at same stage.
K. Admission/Registration Cancellation
Application through coordinator required. Verified by admission office, approved by Director Campus, cleared by Finance. Notified to KMU Registrar. Record closed.
L. Demotion Reporting Procedure
Students failing more than 50% courses will be demoted to same semester. Parents notified. Rejoining after one year with dues paid again.
M. Fee Policy for Demoted/Relegated Students
50% of already paid fee adjusted, 50% treated as advance. Demoted students charged as per new batch fee structure.
N. Migration Policy
Migration allowed as per KMU rules for Rehabilitation, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences programs.
O. Examination Regulations
- Eligibility: 75% attendance + cleared dues.
- Marks: Midterm 20%, Final 70%, Internal 10%.
- MCQ based mid exams (30–60 Qs).
- Practical: OSPE/OSCE pattern.
- Passing Marks: 60%.
- Grades: A+ (90–100), A (80–89), B+ (75–79), B (70–74), C+ (65–69), C (60–64), F (<60).
- Minimum CGPA = 2.0
- Strict prohibition of mobiles, cheating, misconduct.
P. Institutional Research Policy
Institutional Research Committee (IRC) monitors quality research. Supervisors assigned, topics approved, plagiarism policy enforced as per KMU.
